It appears that the cat is officially out of the bag, so I'm free to talk about it. Yours truly contributed three commentary tracks: "O.B.I.T.," "Corpus Earthling," and "Specimen: Unknown." Not gonna lie--- I'm still having a hard time believing this is all really happening.
March 27th, folks.

ReplyDeletethanks for the blog. it's great to read it after an episode.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if this is going to be a Blu-ray only release? For some reason, I thought I read that it was going to come out on HD DVD also. The latest info I've seen reports that the first season 32 shows will be put on seven (7) discs, which presumably would mean that the first 30 shows would be on discs 1through 6, with the final two episodes on disc seven, leaving plenty of room on that disc for bonus material. Five episodes on a disc would not work for DVD, the practical limit seems to be four; after that, picture and sound quality deteriorate drastically. And if you want really good quality on DVD, no more than three one hour episodes will work. As far as bonus material, what I'd like to see are all the original ABC promos, including the one minute promo at the end of The Galaxy Being (which I saw once in syndication and "Disabled 55" posted on You Tube),all the original ABC individual episode commercials, the "Please Stand By" pilot, and maybe "The Unknown" unsold pilot. It would also be nice if Kino Lorber would include the syndication version of The Man With The Power, which featured the original, full length opening control voice speech, which otherwise appeared only in The Galaxy Being, The Hundred Days Of The Dragon and The Architects Of Fear. Purists would no doubt prefer the broadcast version, with the teaser and shortened speech, but the syndication print is the version that most viewers are more familiar with, having run on local stations around the country from 1965-1988.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Craig.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to your expert commentary on these three OL episodes.
March 27 can't come soon enough.
As always, thank you so much for all you do.
